Interview: Presente Responds to Obama Administration Arrests of Member’s Family

Last week U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raided the home of prominent immigrant rights activist Erika Andiola, and took away her mother, Maria, and her brother, Heriberto. Erika and her family had been working in Arizona organizing for immigrant reform in the days leading up to the raid. Erika previously had a leadership role in working on their elections campaign.

Obama Administration Set New Deportation Record to Appease GOP

In an effort to win GOP favor on immigration legislation in Congress, the Obama Administration stepped up ICE deportations of undocumented workers to record levels. More than 800,000 immigrants were moved out of the United States in just two years by President Obama to appease Republicans, according to the Washington Post.
