Ohio Remains Obama’s Firewall

If Obama can win Ohio’s 18 electoral votes he will dramatically reduce Romney’s potential paths to the necessary 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the presidency. Thanks to polls showing a tight race in Wisconsin and Virginia, the possibility of Romney winning without Ohio has become more plausible but it would still be extremely difficult.

Marijuana Legalization More Popular Than Obama or Romney in Colorado

Washington State is on track to make history this November by voting to legalize marijuana. Initiative 502, which would legalize possession of up to an ounce of marijuana for adults and create a regulated system for its sale, continues to do extremely well in the polling.

A solid majority of registered voters in Washington State say they plan to support I-502, an initiative to legalize, tax and regulate marijuana for adults over the age of 21. A new SurveyUSA poll found 55 percent support the ballot initiative, while just 32 percent oppose the measure.
