Happy Mother’s Day! I trust you’ll clean up the kitchen after you serve her breakfast in bed.
NBC goes strong in support for David Gregory, oh wait they preempted the show for soccer. I think Bob Schieffer wants to bomb Putin. He does have Elizabeth Warren on, let’s hope he doesn’t stephanopoulos her making it all about Hillary Clinton. Fox News Sunday goes BENGHAZI, no surprise there; but there will be a discussion on the Nigerian girls Boko Haram kidnapped from their physics exam to serve as sex slaves for their soldiers. CNN’s Candy Crowley’s set up a roundtable on what Monica Lewinsky means for Hillary 2016 and I ask does it have to mean anything, could that horse be beaten any deader than it already is?

This week BENGHAZI does come up, as well as the violence in Ukraine, and the Donald Sterling/NBA racism scandal. There will be more black guests than usual today because of the hoops hoopla, but perhaps the bookers will note they are more than their skin color and invite them on future shows to talk about everyday politics.
Meet the Press actually mentions the death penalty catastrophe in Oklahoma, something David Gregory says he’ll bring it up with Gov. Rick Perry of Texas (death penalty capital of the free world), although it’s more of a Horse Race 2016 booking.

This afternoon, dakine01 hosts a beer and baseball Book Salon: Edward Achorn’s Summer of Beer and Whiskey: How Brewers, Barkeeps, Rowdies, Immigrants, and a Wild Pennant Fight Made Baseball America’s Game. I’m not sure what brews he’ll have on tap for us. Movie Night Monday features Love Me, mail order brides from Ukraine – the current geopolitical face-off can’t be good for business.

Good morning. I hope the Easter Bunny didn’t skip your house this morning, chocolate does not prefer one belief system over another, be it as bunnies or lambs.

Big topic this week is the Fort Hood shooting. If you get so mad because you can’t get your way that you get your gun and run around shooting people dead all over the place, you might have a mental health issue, just sayin’. Might not be legal insanity, but. Fox News Sunday isn’t ready to dismiss terrorism out of hand on this yet: “Lt. Gen. Mark Milley said in a press briefing there was no early indication that terrorism played a role in the shooting. But investigators say they’re keeping open minds and an open investigation when considering motive.” The Foxers were soo hoping.
Bob Schieffer interviews Tom Friedman on the big IPCC climate change report because who knows more about waiting another six months? But at least the discussion isn’t going to include the “balance” of a climate change denier (damnatio memoriae). And more importantly, at least CBS is broaching the topic!
Also BENGHAZI rears its ugly head again, too. Where else but Fox?.

Who would you book on your fantasy Sunday morning talking head show?

I guess the Crimea/Ukraine crisis is a good time to get the band back together again. Wolfowitz sighting at Fox News Sunday.
