California Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein must really love the senseless, failed war on marijuana. Not only has she come out very publicly in opposition to Proposition 19, which would legalize, tax and regulate cannabis, but she also has taken the bold step of actually becoming the co-chair for the No on Prop 19 campaign.

According to a new official analysis (PDF) of Proposition 19 by California’s Legislative Analyst’s Office, passage of the measure to legalize, regulate and tax marijuana would result in increased state revenues amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars

If California legalizes cannabis, tax revenues would be $1.4 billion yearly, enough to send each CA adult $50, or hire 23,000 teachers.
