Apparently Gingrich thinks that IF he should ever take the Presidential Oath it also creates an Open Marriage.
Well he never has been one for sticking to his oaths |

Late Night FDL: Conservative “Redemption” Story a Get-Out-of-Jail-Free Card for Overmoralizing Philanderers |
| By: David Dayen Thursday January 19, 2012 8:00 pm |
The story from Evan McMorris-Santoro here, about conservatives turning up their nose and saying “Meh” to the upcoming Marianne Gingrich revelations, even the open marriage stuff, is completely anecdotal. But it fits with a general story about redemption that conservative Christians often tell themselves to allow for a candidate who fails them morally but still offers them low taxes and a strong national defense.
Hide the Children! It’s the Republicans on TV Again! |
| By: Scarecrow Thursday January 19, 2012 4:20 pm |
Satire is dead; the Republican Presidential contest killed it, stone-cold dead. And we don’t even have to recite all the outrageous things they’ve said, or things others have said about them, just in the last 24-48 hours. It’s too depressing, too mind-numbing to relate.
Gingrich Gains Serious Momentum in South Carolina |
| By: Jon Walker Thursday January 19, 2012 11:05 am |
A few of the recent polls of South Carolina still show Mitt Romney leading but there are strong signs that Newt Gingrich has gained some serious momentum after Romney’s poor debate performance this week. For example, the Marist poll, which shows Romney with a large 10 point lead, picked up a big shift in the last day of their polling.

Colbert SuperPAC Goes on the Air in South Carolina |
| By: David Dayen Saturday January 14, 2012 1:00 pm |
Last night, Colbert closed his announcement with the words “Thank you, God bless you, and God bless Citizens United.” Nobody has done more to show how ludicrous our campaign finance system has become. If it leads to a reassessment of the system, his SuperPAC money will have been money well spent.
Brutal 30-Minute Anti-Romney Attack Ad Released |
| By: David Dayen Thursday January 12, 2012 7:48 am |
The full 30-minute attack ad called “When Mitt Romney Came to Town” is out, and it is really hardcore. Dolloped with a hint of xenophobia (Romney speaks French in the film twice), the film features the roadkill from the freight train of vulture capitalism, the workers who had the misfortune of getting caught up in a Bain Capital leveraged buyout. Romney is portrayed as such an unyielding greedhead that Gordon Gekko would blanch.
And now it gets “really” crazy… |
| By: Attaturk Wednesday January 11, 2012 1:30 am |
The other night I thought was watching an episode of ‘The American Experience’ about the Romneys, but it turned out to be Downton Abbey… still worked for me (Republicans are such a ‘Mary’ and ‘Edith’ hybrid).
