SNL “Addresses” Diversity Controversy – Black Girls Still Rock

By: Wednesday November 6, 2013 5:53 pm

As a black girl, the act of maintaining the belief that you rock given the influx of media depictions that suggest otherwise, and the implication of all the places that couldn’t manage to find one black girl who was good enough to make the cut- or couldn’t be bothered to mention any of the black girls who had done similar work– is a perpetual bummer.

By: Friday November 1, 2013 12:55 pm

Kerry Washington, who’ll be guest hosting Saturday Night Live tomorrow, is a smart, warm, and wise woman who understands the media and gossip rags as well as, if not better than, her character on Scandal, spin doctor Olivia Pope. By: Tuesday January 31, 2012 9:30 am

During last night’s “Your Interview with the President” event sponsored by Google+, President Obama and Google completely and shamefully ignored the dominant questions — about marijuana — submitted by the American people.
