I see the wingnuts are running around trying to tie the Occupy Wall Street movement with Nazis and Communists. Oh, this is going to be fun.

Jennifer Rubin’s “we must keep building aircraft carriers to protect ourselves against homemade car bombs” post was close, but the winner is the most consistently stupid wingnut on the planet, none other than CNN’s Erick Erickson.

The people in Tunisia, Egypt and Yemen are fighting for basic freedoms we here in the US take for granted. The teabagger types and their fellow travelers riled up by their rhetoric are fighting against — traffic laws.

At what point is it fair to say that the right has created a culture of anger and hate that urges its followers to violence again and again and again? Wherever it is, I think we’re several hundred miles past it.

Those are some serious charges. Attempted use of WMD? Seditious conspiracy? America’s self-appointed vigilant Anti-Terror Warriors will certainly be relieved and grateful that the FBI nabbed these guys, right? Wrong.

At a time when elected Democrats are receiving death threats, Democratic offices are under attack, and the FBI has to be called in because Democrats fear for their families — this would be pretty disgusting behavior coming from some wingnut blogger or radio blabbermouth. But the Republican Party’s most recent vice presidential candidate? Unforgivable.
