Monsanto Wins Patent Dispute Against DuPont, Could Become World’s Largest GMO Company

As the United States Supreme Court decides the limits (or lack thereof) of patenting life, Monsanto is positioning itself to dominate the gene market. After a lengthy legal battle with DuPont and subsequent settlement, Monsanto will likely become the largest Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) company in the world.


California GMO-Labeling Initiative Tightens in the Polls

The sole reason this once popular initiative might not win approve is that the food, seed and chemical industries have gone all out to kill it. The opposition has been claiming it would significantly raise food prices even though GMO labeling requirements are already common in other countries.

The relevant industries have spent millions to keep costumers ignorant about what is in their food.

Negative Ad Blitz Erodes Support for California GMO Labeling Initiative

Over the past few weeks Monsanto, DuPont and other large corporations have flooded California with millions of dollars in ads against Proposition 37, which would require the labeling of food containing genetically modified ingredients. Two new polls confirm the well-funded negative campaign has managed to significantly reduce support for the ballot measure.
