This morning, there seems to be a few reports circulating that suggest Occupy DC (also known as Occupy K St) was evicted yesterday night. There was a lot of action from the park police as a non-permanent structure declared unsafe by the park police was dismantled and thirty-one people were arrested. Live Blog for #Occupy Movement: Occupy Boston in Court & Occupy SF Faces Possible Raid

By: Kevin Gosztola Thursday December 1, 2011 11:25 am

At the moment this post is going up, Occupy Boston is in court arguing for an injunction that would protect the city from evicting the camp that has been in Dewey Square for about two months now. The hearing is happening weeks after the occupation won a temporary restraining order from a judge.

J.M. Lawrence, who operates the Boston Justice Twitter account, has been tweeting the entire hearing. The hearing was expected to last four hours and Judge Frances McIntyre warned a packed courtroom not to display emotion during the hearing. The judge obtained clarification from the city that it was not seeking removal of the camp. Affidavits were submitted from 74 campers, who agree to abide by any court ruling.

Occupy Boston Wins Temporary Restraining Order from Judge

A judge issued a temporary restraining order early this afternoon in favor of Occupy Boston. The order prevents the city from having the police raid the camp in the dark of night, as has happened in Oakland, Portland, New York, and other cities. It does, however, allow the city to evict the camp if there is an emergency (for example, if violence breaks out, if there is a fire, if there is a health/medical/sanitary issue, etc).

The National Lawyers Guild and the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts have filed a suit to protect the Occupy Boston encampment in Dewey Square from the kind of militarized police operation that has been carried out against occupations in New York, Portland, Oregon, and Oakland, California.
