Tuesday, June 8 is one of the biggest days in politics this cycle with primary elections in 11 states: California, Iowa, Maine, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Virginia and Arkansas, which hosts a primary runoff. In three of these states–Arkansas, California and Nevada—voters are choosing contenders for crucial seats in the US Senate, and one incumbent is fighting for her job.

Corrupt adulterer and Republican Senator John Ensign isn’t up for re-election until 2012. That’s a good thing, because his total fundraising take for the first quarter of 2010 wouldn’t pay for pens and pencils for the campaign office that he couldn’t afford rent on.

The troubles of Sen. John Ensign have finally dawned on Republican leaders in Nevada. They realize that having a corrupt, indicted leader at a time when they’re trying to take down the state’s Democratic Senator with candidates who have embraced that same indicted figure would be devastating. So gradually, they’re backing away from Ensign.

Now, it’s extremely rich to see the Tea Party Express accuse someone else of being a fraud. The term could not be applied more perfectly to anyone but them. In reality, the Tea Party Express is composed of California-based Republican political consultants, cashing in on the name “Tea Party” for personal gain. In fact, over two-thirds of their PAC money, over $850,000, went directly to their political consulting firm.

Reid’s flim-flamming arrogance is infuriating. He thinks his power as Majority Leader is to be used for nothing better than his own personal advancement. He won’t use it to push Joe Lieberman and Blanche Lincoln, but campaign cash? The whole country can wait!
