Another newspaper died today. Not just any paper; the New Orleans Times-Picayune, which has been publishing since 1837. Officially, it is merely cutting daily print editions to Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, but what with letting over a third of the staff go, will be something, but it won’t be a newspaper, despite the absurd claims from its publisher that this was some sort of “adaption to the digital era.” Really?
