One shouldn’t forget that there is far more antipathy toward Obama in Israel than there is, even among white GOP conservatives and Tea Party fanatics, in the USA.

Obama is planning a big week. On Tuesday, he will address the nation on the supposed end to combat operations in Iraq, on Wednesday he will oversee the start of supposed peace negotiations between Israel and Palestine. Of course, the democratically elected leaders of Palestine are not invited, only Mahmoud Abbas who “unilaterally extended his term” as President of the Palestinian National Authority, a term which ended in 2009.
