I don’t think Godwin’s Law applies if it’s an actual Nazi image.

Air Force Teaching Guide Minimizes History of Recruiting Nazis, Part One

By: Jeff Kaye Thursday July 28, 2011 11:30 am

Why does the United States Air Force, in their teaching materials provided to ICBM missile combat crew at Air Force Global Strike Command, present such a sympathetic portrayal of former Nazi scientist and SS officer Werner von Braun, and why does the Air Force limit their discussion about Nazi involvement in the U.S. space program to “only one man,” von Braun? The reason is simple, but shocking to many, as the history has been largely covered-up, or relegated to out-of-print history books: the U.S. missile program, and much of its military science program in the post-World War II period, was imported wholesale from the Nazis, including their leading scientists.

FDL Book Salon Welcomes Robert Jay Lifton, Witness to an Extreme Century – A Memoir

By: Jeff Kaye Sunday June 12, 2011 1:59 pm

We are extraordinarily fortunate to converse today with psychiatrist and psychohistorical researcher Robert Jay Lifton. His new memoir, written after 60 years of professional life, is an amazingly fascinating and entertaining book. Dr. Lifton speaks in his persona of a gifted, intelligent, and rational observer and thinker, a self-described disciple of the Enlightenment and a humanist approach to understanding.

Tinfoil makes the real crimes dissipate into the ether

By: Attaturk Monday November 15, 2010 1:30 am

Why spend time on real problems, when we can ignore actual injustices and fixate on what some dipsh*t tosses out there for profit?

NYT Releases Unredacted Report on “U.S. Aid for Ex-Nazis”

By: Jeff Kaye Sunday November 14, 2010 12:30 pm

The New York Times has released a full unredacted version version of the Department of Justice’s Office of Special Investigation (OSI) “Striving for Accountability in the Aftermath of the Holocaust.” According to NYT reporter Eric Lichtblau, “The Justice Department has resisted making the report public since 2006.” A “heavily redacted” version was released last month to the private National Security Archive, and now a leaked version of the entire document has been released to the public.

The evocation of words like “accountability” in the context of suppressed documents, leaks, and war crimes has an eerie resonance today for those fighting for accountability for U.S. torture.

Racist Article in Spy Journal Calls for Killing 100,000 Muslim “Zealots”

By: Jeff Kaye Monday August 31, 2009 6:30 pm

An extraordinary article by a Harvard lecturer and former Chief of Neuropsychiatry at Guantanamo Bay made the shocking claim that “hard-core zealots” had “brains that are structurally and functionally different from us.” Furthermore, the article stated, 100,000 “zealots” within the Muslim body politic would have to be eliminated, the way “malignant [cancer] cells” are removed from a healthy body.
