What do you do with an employee who failed to stop Washington state from becoming one of the first in the nation to approve a marriage equality law at the ballot box in 2012, and then in 2013 failed to stop the passage of another marriage equality law in his own home state of Rhode Island?

NOM may have told the nation and the IRS that “The mission of [NOM] is to promote the importance of, and advocate for, marriage between one man and one woman, in law and society,” but we all know that NOM isn’t about promoting anything except anti-LGBT animus. The latest proof: NOM is now actively opposing a new law that protects transgender students.

You never used to hear Brian Brown, Rick Santorum, Ken Hutcherson or Chris Plante admit that they’re losing the national debate on marriage equality. They are now. Mr. Santorum openly admits it, while the rest try to hide it. However, if you listen closely you can hear that their remarks are premised in defeat, and their shrinking audiences consist of like-minded people who need no persuading.

With ComiCon, the hajj of geekdom rapidly approaching, Lionsgate–the studio behind sci-fi flick Ender’s Game, based on the novel by homo-hater Orson Scott Card who is also a producer on the movie–is scrambling to control the damage that Card’s nastiness is inflicting on the potential box office receipts.
