I actually think there is reason to believe the Democrats may do better in the November elections than many believe. Not great, but better than they should have expected at this point. And that’s largely based on factors that aren’t going to show up in the polls.

Chairman of the Republican Party Michael Steele made some awkward comments about Obama’s policy in Afghanistan, irking the right wing. With reaction from the left no better, we see that the War in Afghanistan is simply not a left/right issue at all.

Michael Steele: The Democrats are the crazy irresponsible warmonger party!
DNC: YES! Yes we are! War is awesome and Republicans hate it because they are weak little babies! Ohgod this is the best day of MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!

The Democratic Party is the war party! The party of more war and the need for unquestioning allegiance to war. Its platform is never to look back. The RNC is . . . bound . . . by its own unattainable perception of morality. HA!

Oh, Mister Steele, I know your chairmanship of the RNC is about to meet a brutal end, but on behalf of snarkaholics everywhere, I’m praying that you pull out a miracle win, just so we can be treated to more stories like this one: In an interview with RNC Chairman Michael Steele taped this week [...]
