Because of a ten year mainstream media whitewash, it’s been generally accepted that “mistakes” resulted in a war that claimed over 4,800 US troops. But this week, MSNBC will rock the boat, suggesting false pretenses took us to war, meaning the nation should start debating consequences.

Dahlia Lithwick asked “Where’s the outrage?” Charles P. Pierce asked “Where’s the AMA?” And now Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell may be having second thoughts about signing Virgina’s new probe-a-lot law into effect. Although, who knows, maybe he’s lookin’ to pick up some extra cash licensing his own line of vaginal probes. But the question is, will we ever pry the probe from the GOP’s cold dead hand?

Japanese officials on Thursday confronted significantly increased radiation readings, well above safe levels on land and sea. The increases occurred even as they continued efforts to inject fresh water in Units 1-3 reactors and spent fuel storage ponds and pumped contaminated water out of turbine building basements and nearby trenches.
