MA SENATE: Elizabeth Warren Projected to Beat Scott Brown

Hooray! I’ve gone through lots of elections in which I was felt I was voting to prevent some clown, scoundrel or crook from getting elected, rather than for the person who won. But this year, I voted enthusiastically for Elizabeth Warren, and she’s now projected to win. It’s a nice feeling.

Jeff Merkley is a new Senator for me, although I was proud to be a supporter-from-afar when he ran for the Senate from Oregon in 2008. I like his taking-questions-from-constituents YouTubes and was happy to see Atrios featured one of them on today’s Eschaton front page.

According to Politico’s Carrie Budoff Brown, Russ Feingold’s defiance on the so-called financial reform bill irks liberals. She even finds one liberal to say how irked he his. That’s right, one (1) and he doesn’t claim to speaks for all liberals.
