The prank phone call to Gov. Scott Walker by a man pretending to be billionaire industrialist David Koch has become a real tipping point. I don’t know how the national media has reacted to it, but the state media was seriously aggressive in yesterday’s inexplicable press conference.

And best of all, Murphy didn’t have to pretend to be a pimp or a prostitute in order to do it. Or, depending on your opinion of Mr. Koch, he did.

Oh, we’ll all need an early spring vacation by January and what could be more fun than a nice desert escape and some infiltration of an invitation-only, confidential meeting at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage near Palm Springs, CA. Sponsored by Koch Industries’ founders Charles and David Koch, the until now top-sekrit gathering of conservatives entitled Understanding and Addressing Threats to American Free Enterprise and Prosperity.

Why didn’t seven U.S. Senators — the men responsible for making laws related to the establishment and regulation of corporations — know that Koch Industries is no different than an overwhelming number of businesses here in the U.S. with regards to their tax payments?

Unable to score points against Elizabeth Warren on the merits, the business press is now reduced to dredging up a two year-old lawsuit to try and present the appearance of impropriety in her conduct on the Congressional Oversight Panel.

Alaska State representative David Guttenberg (D- 8th District) beat teabagger Joe Miller in 2004. Here’s a bit of his advice to Sitka Mayor Scott McAdams, who is tightening the race against Miller:

As we get deeper into the electoral cycle and things get more polarized, it should come as no surprise that attitudes have become more polarized on health care.

Koch Industries and its two leaders, Charles and David, are not only out to destroy progressivism and restore Republican dominance in Washington, though that’s a side benefit. They are out to protect their company’s financial industries, which run the gamut of practically every major policy the Obama Administration has tackled this year.

Funny how the “respectable” press must continually promote race-baiting dingbats like Glenn Beck and the Koch-backed Astroturf that is the Tea Party wing of the GOP — while comparatively all but ignoring the richer-than-God paleoconservative oil barons funding the whole shebang. To paraphrase Blue Texan, it’s the best “grass roots” protest that a billionaire’s money can buy.

Whose oil is it under the ground? Who “owns” that oil? In Alaska they decided the oil belongs to the People of the state and that the People will benefit if it is extracted. When the oil was discovered they created as part of their Constitution to establish the Alaska Permanent Fund, which collects at least 25% of the proceeds from companies that drill, and use that money for the People of the state for current and all future generations.
