Cancer Finally Covered as 9-11 Related Illness

Eleven years after the attacks on 9-11 and the subsequent Ground Zero volunteer cleanup that left thousands sickened, the federal government finally added cancer to the list of illnesses linked to the attacks.

9-11 Health Care Bill Passes Senate at Reduced Cost

The pressure was apparently too much to hold back the 9-11 health care first responders bill. A reduced version passed the Senate by unanimous consent.

Help for 9/11 Rescue Workers Sacrificed on Altar of Arcane Senate Procedure

Sometimes the often irresponsible behavior of the United States Senate rises to a new, more disgusting level that still manages to physically make me ill. Today, a bill that would provide help finding health care for the 9/11 rescue workers sickened as a result of their selfless actions failed in the Senate because it managed to only get 57 votes in favor (compared to 42 opposed).
