Watching the right’s rhetorical acrobatics over the past few days has been really quite amusing. Check out this strained exchange between Hugh Hewitt and Jim DeMint (T-SC).

Have you heard about the “EPA Power Grab”? This one’s a whopper, a pernicious, flat out lie so big, so harmful, and so wrapped in hysteria it’s no wonder there are conservative heads exploding all over the right wing propaganda Wurlitzer.

The biggest problem with American politics today is that we’ve only got two parties. One of them is corrupt, and the other is corrupt and crazy. Now, mind you — I don’t use that term lightly. I mean really, absolutely nuts, certifiable — head-trauma crazy. And today, Hugh Hewitt’s unhinged column at Clownhall demonstrates just how crazy the right has become.

Remember this? “In the effort to reverse this lurch beyond the farthest left fringe of previous Democratic statist urges, individual Americans have a role to play. They have to say no to GM products and services until such time as the denationalization occurs,” said Hugh Hewitt.
