While had a very rocky first two months things worked much better in December. According to the Obama administration 975,000 people selected plans on the federally run exchange this month. This brings total signup on the federal exchange to 1.1 million. When the state run exchanges are added in the total number of people selecting exchange coverage is now around 2 million.

The months of work on are bearing fruit. According to the Obama administration the site now works much better than it did in October. Load time has been improved, capacity has been increased, and error rates are down. When the site launched it was down over half the time. Now the site is up over 90 percent of the time. 80 Percent Is Really Not Success
