The tiny minds of the flaccid stakeholders in the movement to control wombs and demonize the LGBT community are trying to agree upon which Clown in the GOP Clown Car to unite behind to take out Mittens.

These 2012 GOP Primary debates are filled with both humor and horror when it comes to LGBT issues. The fact that these straight white guys are up there talking about how to “preserve marriage” from LGBT Americans as well as basic civil rights is embarrassing. On Sunday’s Meet the Press (screen cap at right), there was less focus on TEH HOMOs, but Saturday’s New Hampshire debate was seriously out of control.

Just to show how useless his three-tier position is in terms of inoculating him on the issue, last night Rick Santorum slammed Mittens. Romney’s defense of what happened in Massachusetts? He was just obeying the court’s orders.

Newt passed on signing a morals pledge earlier in the race; now he’s on board with marital fidelity — and support of a Federal Marriage Amendment, because it’s a litmus test for Iowa fundie group The FAMiLY LEADER.

This Republican presidential primary campaign has been a wonderful, circus-like event that keeps delivering. Rick Santorum<, who is one of the only Clown Car occupants to miss a brief bit of the spotlight at the top of the polls, is so desperate to remain relevant (after all, he has the corner on the anti-Muslim, anti-gay schtick at the debates) that he is asking political sage Sarah Palin (!) to help him out.

Herman Cain suppporters are bitter about the media’s treatment of their preferred candidate and torn between the two remaining GOP front-runners. Mitt Romney looks like a flip-flopping moderate and Gingrich like a faux conservative. Burned by their own candidate’s lack of national campaign experience without previous vetting, why not look at someone not yet in the race, but whom the GOP has relied on before?

Give it up Herman, the train with women voters on it has left the station, with you left in the Clown Car parking lot.

Left unstaffed by the side of the road the previous summer, the longtime DC insider’s campaign for president limped along without TradMed respect until the New Hampshire Union-Leader’s publisher endorsement acknowledged that maybe the GOP would return to form again in its nominating process: wasn’t it really this guy’s turn?

The GOP Prez candidates continue to astonish. I can’t decide which one of these items is more mind-numbing, but I’ve not seen such a pathetic bunch of pols running for President of the United States in years, maybe ever.

On Saturday, Bob Vander Plaats hosted his so-called “Thanksgiving Family Forum” along with fellow bigots The National Organization for Marriage, and CitizenLink (Focus on the Family), where we got another chance to see the GOP Clown Car act pious in front of the fringe they need to survive the Republican primary in 2012.

It’s not surprising that NOM president Brian Brown asked those present (notably Romney and Huntsman passed on attending) what action they would take if the Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), ruling it unconstitutional.
