I am used to reading completely crazy, sex-obsessed things from Peter LaBarbera, or junk science from hate group leader Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council. But in 2012, Clown Car candidate Rick Santorum has ushered in an impressive and visible new era of religious right/junk science/insane statements that suggests the Republican Party either cannot or will not deal with the basic political realities going on in this nation.

No two major media outlets agree on GOP delegate counts, although almost all have the ranking the same: Rmoney, Santorum, Gingrich, and Paul. The exception being the most trusted name in news: CNN ranks the contenders Rmoney, Gingrich, Santorum, Paul.

Please tell me that I didn’t just step out of a time machine. I guess I probably didn’t travel too far back in time, given we’re talking about Republicans in the 2012 GOP Clown Car cycle, because this is what Rick Santorum said just yesterday in an interview with CNN’s John King about the Pentagon considering relaxing rules regarding women and frontline roles in combat.

Someone actually asked the question that has been on a lot of people’s minds since Newt Gingrich’s second wife, Marianne, spilled the beans that Newt actually asked her about having an open marriage (after boinking his mistress and future wife Callista for years). Marianne didn’t agree, so Newt, who had dogged Bill Clinton about WH blow jobs during the same period the former House Speaker was also receiving extramarital servicing, asked for a divorce.

So we have learned that Mittens will pay about 15% taxes on his millions for 2011, and that while he was telling voters he was “unemployed,” he was underwriting anti-gay activity — including the Mormon church, which bankrolled the ant-gay Proposition 8 campaign in California.

Newt Gingrich has repeatedly made comment that denigrate poor people but are little more than racist and classist stereotypes and dog whistles. This open letter by Joi Ruth Orr, Director of Organizing, Faith Leaders for Community Change, calling for an apology from Mr. Gingrich, needs to be spread far and wide.

This comes from the land of “you can’t make this sh*t up.” GOP Clown Car occupant, ace homophobe and bearer of a redefined surname that has become a giant political problem for him on Google, Rick Santorum is not doing himself any more favors by launching the Conservatives United Moneybomb, or C.U.M. for short.

Yeah, we can talk about how Newt went ballistic and blamed the media for asking about his wandering pee-pee and alleged open marriage request of wife #2, or how Rick Santorum finally located his #clownballs and pummeled Romney and Newt mercilessly in a desperate attempt to remain relevant, but it was Mittens, poor little Mittens, who stunk up the joint at the CNN Debate held in Charleston, SC Thursday night.

I wonder what Calista thinks about this? And Newt wants to ensure gays and lesbians don’t have access to civil marriage. The hypocrisy meter just shattered.

The tiny minds of the flaccid stakeholders in the movement to control wombs and demonize the LGBT community are trying to agree upon which Clown in the GOP Clown Car to unite behind to take out Mittens.
