Anti-gay campaigner and former televangelist Gary Randall is coming out of retirement to host a daily radio show which he hopes will help unite the warring factions within Washington state’s radical-right Christian wing.

Pastor Gary Randall, the retired Oregon televangelist who has long advocated against civil equality for LGBT Washingtonians, today admits that life goes on despite Washington state voters having approved the freedom to marry law last November.

The Oregon-based Faith and Freedom group of organizations — Faith and Freedom Network, Faith and Freedom Foundation, and Faith and Freedom PAC — has been playing a visible role in the campaign led by National Organization for Marriage’s local arm, Preserve Marriage Washington, attempting to overturn Washington’s civil marriage equality law.

Opponents of lifting bans on access to civil marriage licenses for same-sex couples frequently claim that lifting those bans somehow amounts to “special rights” for same-sex couples.

National Organization for Marriage is going to have their hands full trying to control all the back-biting factions within Washington’s anti-gay industry. Did they know what they were in for when they decided to spend upwards of $6 million to interfere in the affairs of a state 2,500 miles distant from their offices in Washington, D.C.?
