Democrat Ed Markey will soon be the newest member of the United States Senate. As expected last night he won the Massachusetts special election to fill the remainder of Secretary of State John Kerry’s term.

On the eve of the Massachusetts special Senate election to Replace John Kerry (D) things are looking very good for Democrats. The latest polls all find Democrat Rep. Ed Markey with a solid lead over Republican Gabriel Gomez.

Today Washington Blade claims that “Gabriel Gomez endorses ENDA“, the federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act. Congressman Ed Markey and Mr. Gomez are vying for the U. S. Senate seat recently vacated by Secretary of State John Kerry.

It looks likes Democrats will rather easily hold on to John Kerry’s old senate seat. Right after the primary Republican candidate Gabriel Gomez had a brief honeymoon period. Several polls found him only a few points behind Democrat Ed Markey, but since the general election campaign has started in earnest Markey’s lead has grown steadily.

Gabriel Gomez, who is the Republican nominee for the Senate in Massachusetts and is also an actual brown Scott Brown, has a very lovely house in Cohasset which he could have totally screwed-up with a ginormous mural of ghost Ronald Reagan dressed as Uncle Sam strangling Mother Communist Russia but he didn’t because the government gave him some sweet house hostage money.
