Bowe Bergdahl Swapped for that Marine in Mexico (Satire)

By: Monday November 3, 2014 6:30 pm

Just ahead of the highly-contested midterm elections, Obama administration officials are denying rumors that they swapped Bowe Bergdahl, the soldier himself freed from Taliban captivity through a swap for five Guantanamo prisoners, for Marine Sergeant Andrew Tahmooressi.

Tahmooressi was released by coincidence just before the election after several months in a Mexican jail.

“It was a good ride,” said Bowe Bergdahl, “but like I told the Taliban guys on my last day with them, hey, nothing lasts forever.”

Snowden Leaks Old Journalism Textbook, Media Shocked

By: Friday November 22, 2013 10:24 am

In yet another dramatic revelation flowing out of whistleblower Edward Snowden, a journalism textbook from 1983 has been sent to several large media outlets, including the Washington Post, New York Times and the trailer park where Fox News is thought to originate.

“To say we’re shocked is an insult to electricity,” said a spokesperson from the Post while speaking with the media, who refused to give his name because he was not authorized to speak with the media. “We had no idea. Not a clue.”

Fact Checked: Hannity Causing Immediate Harm to Consumers

By: Thursday October 24, 2013 2:05 pm

In a galling display of disregard for the public interest, Sean Hannity has been broadcasting provably false information on radio and TV about the Affordable Care Act. Salon’s “Inside the Fox News lie machine: I fact-checked Sean Hannity on Obamacare” uncovered how he distorted the stories of three couples to imply that they were worse off under Obamacare’s new rules. In fact, the couples are now able to get more coverage for less money, but Hannity did not retract his report.

Is Obama More Cat-Like or Dog-Like Than Romney?

By: Monday July 16, 2012 4:15 pm

With many polling firms all reporting a Presidential race that has remained boringly static for months, it is not surprising that some pollsters are trying to be extra creative to stand out from the pack. But this set of questions from an actual poll of swing states by Purple Strategy takes it to a bizarre new level.

Are Violent Racists Good Customers? Who Profits From the Trayvon Shooting?

By: Thursday March 22, 2012 6:39 pm

Following the Fox News story of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin killed by 28-year-old George Zimmerman, the comments section of Fox News exploded with racist and violent comments, such as: “How long will it take to get all of those little blk curly nappys out of the White House bedding so that the next POTUS can sleep without that Creepy Crawly feeling.”

Waiting for that animated 3-D version of The Fountainhead, I guess

I guess when you have an audience of dozens yet have hours to fill and an order not to “outsmart” Fox & Friends eventually you settle into a theme of stupidity.

Murdoch: News Corp. Too Big to Know

By: Thursday July 21, 2011 6:17 pm

The Bush administration told taxpayers to hand over hundreds of billions of their hard-earned dollars to bail out Wall Street banks because the financial institutions were too big to fail. Now, Rupert Murdoch, owner of politically powerful publications and broadcast stations, claims his News Corp. is too big to know.

Sunday Late Night: Did Roger Ailes Wiretap in the US?

By: Sunday July 17, 2011 8:01 pm

Now that the head of Rupert Murdoch’s British tabloid and the head of his American business daily flagship have both resigned, with the titian-haired one under arrest in Britain, is it time to look at the man GHWBush calls “our man Ailes” and his techniques that FOX News Channel may have used to make the news?

Beck Out at Fox, What It Means

By: Wednesday April 6, 2011 5:49 pm

Today Fox and Glenn Beck’s production company said that Beck, “will be transitioning off his daily Fox News program.”

I’m very happy to hear this (don’t let Bones see me smiling). Beck and Fox are trying to spin this as some kind of “moving on to greater things” action instead of what it is; a big defeat for them and huge win for us. Beck is going off the air at Fox because of a successful, sustained action to convince advertisers that Beck is bad for their brand.
