Yesterday Francois Hollande won the second round of the French Presidential election and will be sworn in on May 15th. That is just nine days after his election. This is the way things should work and how they do work in almost every democracy, but it’s not how the United States works. We refuse to make even modest reforms to the silliest and outdated Constitutional remnants from a pre-modern era.
