The money that now goes to the cartels, with which they buy weapons and fund criminal enterprises of all sorts, could instead be paying teacher salaries and going into the coffers of states that badly need the revenue to meet their budgets.

Daniel Ellsberg, the former US military analyst who released the pentagon papers in 1971, appeared on MSNBC today with Dylan Ratigan. He said he fears for the safety of Julian Assange, founder of Wikileak, who is reportedly on the verge of leaking secret State Department cables. The Daily Beast reports that Assange is currently being sought by the pentagon, and Ellsberg advises him not to reveal his whereabouts.

I was on MSNBC with Dylan Ratigan this morning. I was still laughing about David Axelrod’s contention earlier on Morning Joe that the insurance companies hated this bill and that’s what they were fighting against it so hard.
Seriously? They were fighting tooth and nail to get the public option out of the bill so all of the money would flow directly to them, and when it came out, they declared victory.

I made a quick appearance on Dylan Ratigan’s show. Any morning you can take a jab at Dick Cheney is a good morning.
It is apparently impossible to fail so profoundly that it disqualifies you from ever being listened to again.
