If Perkins wants to talk about ugly tactics and intolerant bullies, perhaps he should take another look at his organization.

A&E backed down on their suspension of Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson, putting themselves behind Robertson’s twisted views of blacks in the Jim Crow-era South, his very misinformed understanding of world history and world religions, and his homophobic religious beliefs about gays. It’s a happy happy happy day in the Robertson house.
Elsewhere, where folks have a more respectful view of the world and those with whom they share it, not so much.

Does anyone remember when Change.org presented itself as a liberal activist tool? Apparently that is no longer the case and may not have been for some time.

In their zeal to defend Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson, many conservatives and religious right figures are being extremely hypocritical about free speech. I mean aren’t these some of the same folks who blow gaskets when they even hear about stores saying “happy holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas?”

Phil Robertson’s comments were condemned by the Human Rights Campaign and GLAAD while those on the right, such as the American Family Association’s Bryan Fischer and Fox News reporter Todd Starnes, hailed him as a great American and the lgbt community as intolerant and “anti-Straight.”
Then came Act II.
