The ACA was at best a 1 percent vs 1 percent internal spat that resulted in some scraps falling off the table.

What company wouldn’t want to have the government let it sell a product for whatever price it wanted, have the government use its power to stop anyone else from selling the product, and have the government directly or indirectly pay for buying the product?

Thanks to a decision by the Obama Administration’s Department of Justice in siding with drug manufacturers, price discounts for drugs provided to government supported hospitals and clinics are now in jeopardy.

Democrats face a tough election and might lose control of one or both houses of Congress, and, not surprisingly, the drug makers have abandoned them. Dems are now left with a deeply unpopular health care law that does too little and fails to excite the base, while the corporate mercenaries have abandoned what looks like a losing battle.
