Like a bunch of happy pigs rolling around in the mud, conservatives are really reveling in their anti-government fanaticism this week. After Marco Rubio (R-FL) explained how the Great Society and New Deal made the United States a nation of weaklings, Ron Paul (R-TX) declared that we don’t need FEMA and that things were like, way better in 1900. But amidst all this crazy, one particularly wingnutty remark stands out.

You know at some point people might get wise to the fact that Obama is the most powerful political figure in the world, and he does have options beyond being a corporate tool who lets his campaign manager rearrange the national lawn furniture.

And now, the moment I have been both anticipating and dreading: Michele Bachmann’s State Of The Union rebuttal… or possibly State Of The Union rebuttal rebuttal. Because Tea is apparently A Party Unto Itself now, and Michele Bachmann is their leader. Mainly by virtue of being the craziest of the crazy.
