On the Colbert Report last night Patrick Kennedy, from Project SAM, said he opposes marijuana legalization because it could lead to “Big Marijuana.” Basically his organization argues we should keep marijuana illegal because legalization might possibly lead to some large marijuana corporations which will occasionally use questionable business practices.

When considering that the New York Times story from Jo Becker and Scott Shane was a major story containing multiple revelations on how President Barack Obama and his administration decide which “terror suspects” to target and kill, there really was not much media coverage of the story at all. Numerous commentaries and analyses have been posted online, however, it really has received a scant amount of attention. Particularly in television and radio, commentators and pundits have been largely silent. They’ve let the Times bask in the glory of what Chris Floyd of Empire Burlesque called “a love letter to Obama’s murder racket.”
