America’s fifth most influential liberal journalist Fred Hiatt doesn’t have enough to do these days having delegated most of his editorial responsibilities to sensible classical liberals like Charles Krauthammer, Michael Gerson, Marc Thiessen, Jennifer Rubin, Robert Kagan, Robert Samuelson, Kathleen Parker, and George Will. So today he thought he would try his hand at movie reviewing but, alas, he hasn’t grasped the differences between “drama” and “documentary”.

It looks like we can count Mr. Krauthammer among the many conservatives who rekindled their love of the Constitution on January 20th, 2009 after an eight-year estrangement. First he lambastes a “toxic” DHS memo about ways to avoid deporting unaccompanied minors and sex slaves (yes, apparently compassion is “toxic”), then he exposes this diabolical power grab:

It’s hard to tell which group of f**king cowards is stupider, citizenship strippers or Miranda deniers. Abraham Lincoln once said something about it being better to remain silent and be suspected of being ignorant than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Really you guys should just stop publicly displaying both your ignorance and your cowardice. Just go cower under you bed and let the FBI and the US Attorneys continue doing their excellent jobs of catching and convicting the bombers.
