In one of the most hilarious history fails I’ve ever seen, Nancy Pelosi actually compares the financial reform bill to the New Deal:

[This week's Wall Street-reform legislation has] the boldness and enthusiasm of the New Deal but with less government.

I was on PBS’s To the Contrary with McCain adviser Nancy Pfotenhauer, who did her best John McCain impression and lost her cool when his “100 years in Iraq” comment was mentioned.

Atrios was right — it makes them instantly and inexplicably irrational. Nancy starts repeating “factcheck.org” like McCain made the comment in Chinese or something and people couldn’t understand what he meant without a translator.

Use “100 years” and “Iraq” in the same sentence and I think people get the idea.
