Good morning, who scrambled the eggs?
Ebola, Ebola, Ebola. We won’t have CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden to kick around today, but Dr. Anthony Fauci does the Full Ginsburg for the administration. Marsha Blackburn (CBS) and Ted Cruz (CNN) think we are at real risk from Ebola-laden illegal West Africans sneakily making their way to Mexico (and Canada, even sneakilyer) to swarm our borders and kill us all with their influenza’d ebolas; these are not serious people to discuss the merits of a travel ban from the affected West African countries. Interestingly, Fox News booked Rep. Tim Murphy (R-PA) for a more sensible point of view, as well as Dr. Michael Osterholm who is Director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. Osterholm rightly believes the urgency is in West Africa. Bob Schieffer did schedule a knowledgeable group of medical people for his roundtable.

Ebola tops all all the talk shows this morning now that it’s reached America. I’m firmly in the travel restrictions camp for people coming from affected/infected areas. As evidenced in Dallas this week, we are not prepared to handle an outbreak. We don’t even know what to do with the medical waste, but don’t worry, we’re on it. Watching officials bumbling and fumbling and stumbling around does not inspire confidence, or trust. And that trust and confidence is essential because there will be other cases. Now that you’ve seen us in action, do you think we can contain them? “Don’t worry, I got this,” yeah right.

It’s Morningtime! The pancakes will be up in a jiff.
All ISIS on the shows today, nary a mention of The Peoples Climate Mega-March or any kind of UN convocation that may or may not have taken place this week concerning the future of the planet. But tomorrow’s another day, right Scarlet?
Chuck Todd is winning the Village market and gets the weekend off. And Steve Kroft interviews President Barack Obama for tonight’s 60 Minutes.
There’s no Movie Night Monday, but bmaz will be here with Dahlia Lithwick this afternoon for Book Salon with Erwin Chemerinsky, The Case Against the Supreme Court.

Brisk is upon us, good morning.
Today it’s ISIS, with a dash of Ebola. Bob Schieffer’s broadcasting live from under the covers with Joe Lieberman, Jane Harman, Robert Kagan, and Mike Morell, so now I’m under the bed.

Rise & Shine, it’s Chuck Todd Day!
Chuck Todd’s new and improved Meet the Press (Now with more Edge!) starts this weekend. By now you’ve heard the fab news (RIP MTP) that Luke Russert is coming on as a regular at Chuck Todd’s new and improved roundtable (not sure what the Russert family has on NBC, but it’s gotta be big and dirty).

Good morning everyone, the coffee will be ready shortly.
The major topic today is ISIS and Syria, what will the US do. CBS booked both Sen. John McCain and Rep. Peter King (I guess they’re for bomb, bomb, bombing). The big question is, of course, what color suit Rep. King will wear.
