I’d say Rekers is another example of being hoisted on one’s own petard — but it seems that was kind of the goal. Commence the pulling of fingers.

Yes, that’s right, the Florida GOP actually produced an ad – a really lame, crappy ad – criticizing a Democrat for being too gun-happy, presenting unhinged footage of Rambo and Private Pyle as excerpts from “CFO Alex Sink’s Official Fraud Investigation Training Video,” interspersed with jaunty music and a random clip of Sink saying “You’re darn right!” Ha ha, these kids today and their hilarious interweb TV bacteria!

Ben Smith writes that if the health care bill passes with “unified, if grumbly, support on the left, it would seem to vindicate the White House’s fundamental approach, which was to take the left for granted as much as possible and focus on courting marginal members of the Senate.”
He’s absolutely right. As I told Jonathan Weisman of the Wall Street Journal the other day (which he didn’t print), “f#%king r$%ards” worked.
