Little Tommy Friedman, aka, WOTD, laments about the decayed state of American infrastructure, announces America needs a renewal and then proposes the man to do it . . . good grief.

A salute to the blogger known as Atrios, who exposed an entire decade of wankers, and who is celebrating his 10th Anniversary at a very non-sucky blog.

As FDL’s David Dayen wrote yesterday, we face seven months of what promises to be a thoroughly dreadful election season. Many (likely a minority) of us believe neither of the two major parties nor their likely Presidential nominees, offers the country even a realistic assessment of the challenges the nation faces, let alone workable solutions or a feasible political strategy for solving them.
That means that on most fronts — those not on some benign auto-pilot — things are likely to get worse for millions of people, their communities, and their environment. The only certainty is that the election will not improve matters, no matter who wins.

Jeff Merkley is a new Senator for me, although I was proud to be a supporter-from-afar when he ran for the Senate from Oregon in 2008. I like his taking-questions-from-constituents YouTubes and was happy to see Atrios featured one of them on today’s Eschaton front page.
