Torture Memo Author John Yoo Awarded Endowed Faculty Chair At UC Berkeley School Of Law

In America today no good deed goes unpunished nor bad deed unrewarded. One of the co-authors of the notorious “Torture Memos”, John Yoo, has been awarded an endowed faculty chair at University of California Berkeley School of Law. Apparently undermining the US Constitution and the rule of law by justifying torture was such an achievement that Yoo warranted special recognition.

What’s so horrible in Walker’s rulings that the government might entertain “letting the terrorists win” in exchange for vacating the rulings? It seems there are three possible parts of Walker’s July 2008 ruling the government might want vacated.

Oh, this is dreadful. According to my New York Times, the President of the United States is powerless against the determined wishes of a minority in Congress, when his own party holds a majority in both houses. Do we need a Constitutional Convention?
