Dan Choi, Bill McKibben and Scarecrow have now spent two nights in jail courtesy of the DC police for an offense that routinely equates to a parking ticket. According to Ted Glick over at Grist, the orders to hold them came from “higher up.”

Jared Lee Loughner Arraigned in Phoenix, Pleads Not Guilty in Giffords Shooting

Jared Lee Loughner was arraigned today at the Federal Courthouse in Phoenix, AZ for one count of attempted assassination in the shooting of Representative Gabrielle Giffords, and two counts of attempted murder for shooting two of her staffers, Ron Barber and Pam Simon.
