Bahrain’s Brutal Crackdown Continues Overnight; Libya “Day of Rage” Today

After a brutal crack-down attack on protesters in Bahrain overnight, the numbers of dead and wounded are still unclear; Al Jazeera now says the number of fatalities is increasing with clashes reported throughout the capital city of Manama though the central tent encampment has been destroyed. Pro-democracy and reform protests continue elsewhere across the Middle East and north Africa.


Iran’s Hypocrisy Matched by Obama and Clinton

The news from Iran is truly disturbing as we hear that members of parliament are calling for the arrest and execution of leaders of the opposition Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi and learn of the deaths of two protesters yesterday.
