As I watch President Obama and his minions mercilessly tout his genius and bravery as a “War President,” presumably to attract “swing” voters, my only consolation is that I can now delete his incessant money-grubbing emails without a trace of guilt. Actually, it’s become a pleasure to do so, and it saves money, too. Never mind the creepy grave-dancing involved; the most galling part is how easily he slipped into this role, even resorting to tinny Bushisms about Bin Laden being “brought to justice.”

The White House wants to fast track the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) “free trade” agreement with Australia, Brunei, Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam. Japan is waiting in the wings, Canada and Mexico want in, Taiwan has announced its intention to meet membership requirements and China says it will “earnestly study” whether to seek entry into the agreement.
Basically, the TPP is NAFTA on steroids.

In a move that could be seen as election-year expedience, a friendly nod to the nuclear industry, or a sign of a coming battle with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), the Obama administration announced Thursday that it would nominate Kristine Svinicki for a second term on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Reid had gone public just a day earlier with his objections to Commissioner Svinicki getting another five-year appointment when her tenure expires at the end of June.

A CBS News/NYT poll has the race completely tied; others show either man slightly leading. It’s likely the poor state of the economy is keeping an unliked Romney in the race.

A recent survey at the British National Military Museum named George Washington that nation’s greatest military foe (how he beat Gorgo or curry is a mystery to me).
But this survey may have been premature,

There are days when it is best to not watch any cable news. For me personally, those are the days of the week that end in “Y”.
