What a GOP-Managed Reading of the Constitution Looks Like

Bob Goodlatte is the guy the GOP put in charge of today’s reading of the Constitution. He apparently chose to read the 10th Amendment — the foundation of state’s rights — himself.

Apparently Goodlatte also took it upon himself to re-write the 10th Amendment, too.

Call Your Member of Congress and Ask Where They Stand on Ending Marijuana Prohibition

Recent polling by Angus-Reid shows that a majority of Americans favor the legalization of marijuana. Moreover, a SurveyUSA poll in California indicates that 74% of people between the ages of 18-34 favor legalization. So, where have members of the House come down on marijuana bills in the past? If you have links that indicate where your Senator or Representative stands with regard to marijuana, leave it in the comments. Better yet, give them a call and ask.

Taking the Tenth: Will Decision Invalidating DOMA Section 3 Survive Appeal? Should It?

If the Obama Administration’s Justice Department declined to appeal the ruling, the point would be moot and the ruling would stand. Lawyers for the plaintiffs expect an appeal, however, which would go to the 1st Circuit Court, and then potentially the Supreme Court.
