Fanfare for the Common WankerBy: Attaturk Tuesday April 15, 2008 5:01 am |
If you're like me, and I know I am, on the serious questions of the day, you look to our nation's most plentiful natural resource, conservative pundits, to tell you how to think. And then you know you are correct in doing the opposite.
Foggy Fred HiattBy: Phoenix Woman Monday April 14, 2008 6:00 pm |
Dog bites man. Sun rises in east. The WaPo's Fred Hiatt tries to cover for Republicans. Watch Fred Hiatt make some fancy verbal footwork trying to hide the stinky dead elephant in the room that is John McCain's breaking campaign finance law.
Washington Post Ignores McCain’s FEC ViolationsBy: Jane Hamsher Monday April 14, 2008 3:00 pm |
This is just getting ridiculous. Per C&L, Candy Crowley on CNN blasts Obama for waffling on taking public financing for the general, but makes absolutely no mention of the fact that John McCain is in violation of FEC law and has been told by FEC chairman David Mason that he can't just withdraw from the system, as he insists on doing.
How stupid would Obama have to be to enter into an agreement to abide by regulations with someone who has already shown he has no intention of honoring them?

The Media’s Race ProblemBy: David Neiwert Thursday March 20, 2008 6:00 pm |
The Obama "pastor problem" is a controversy cooked up almost entirely within the media realm. Once they sank their fangs into it, the whole zombielike corps of pundits, cable talking heads, and radio talk-show hosts couldn't let go of it. And equally remarkable was the bias that was on display in discussing it: News anchors and talking heads flatly referred to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's videotaped remarks as "anti-American," "hate-filled," "vicious," "offensive," and so on and on. It's telling that none of them also observed that, for the most part, Wright's remarks were factually accurate, and deeply reflective of a reality that most African Americans live with -- and which most white Americans do their best to ignore, deny, and forget.
Village Reaction to McCain’s Macaca MomentBy: Teddy Partridge Wednesday March 19, 2008 3:30 pm |
Enjoy the video? You'll see it a lot around here between now and November, never fear. But don't expect Traditional Media to feature it too much.
Shut Yer Piehole, Homewrecker!By: Phoenix Woman Saturday March 15, 2008 12:30 pm |
Oh, joy. Sally Quinn lectures the Spitzers on adultery. Isn't that like Hitler lecturing Churchill on war crimes? Lil' Sally Homewrecker must think we all have short memories. She thinks wrong.
All Hail the Power of StupidBy: Attaturk Tuesday March 11, 2008 5:00 am |
In this morning's pontificating from Mount Blowhard Hitchens states the following as a justification for invading Iraq -- and you may have heard this one before:
How timely!By: Attaturk Monday March 10, 2008 2:14 am |
Fred Hiatt tries his best to do the intellectual slalom on John McCain's pending FEC violations by finding a way to discover meaningful campaign finance reform...by ignoring campaign finance reform...to the benefit of...wait for it...John McCain!Who could not have foreseen? [Condi]
