What a Fortunate Fund Raising Coincidence for Obama

By: Jon Walker Thursday February 9, 2012 5:03 pm

For months the Obama administration has been pushing for a foreclosure fraud settlement that would be very favorable for the big banks. Obama finally got the deal he has long wanted today, Thursday February 9th. It was reported that a deal had been reached last night, February 8th.

This means on Tuesday February 7th, it was must have been know to people in the Obama administration that a foreclosure fraud deal had already been reached or would reached in the next few days.

President Obama Says US Must Be ‘Judicious’ in Drone Use

By: Kevin Gosztola Monday January 30, 2012 6:30 pm

Billed as the “first-ever completely virtual interview from the White House,” YouTube and Google+ hosted an event this evening called “Your Interview with the President.” President Barack Obama took questions from a few individuals who were selected to be a part of a “hangout.” They asked various questions about the economy, education and a few on digital freedom and foreign policy.

Two questions of interest, given Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta’s interview last night on 60 Minutes, were questions on drone use. A young male asked about drones and how they have caused many civilian casualties.

Eight Can Keep a Secret if That Ratfink Alito Is Kept Out of the Loop

According to “one of America’s fastest rising authors” (it says so right here and it is on the internet so it must be true) it seems that President Hussein Obamar has been using Black Panther beat-down threats or maybe even Kenyan magic juju to enslave most of the Supreme Court so that they won’t declare him a foreign usurper and therefore rule his presidency null and void, tap tap no erasies.

Energy Innovation: Obama’s State of the Union a Frothy Mix of Promise and Prattle

By: Gregg Levine Wednesday January 25, 2012 4:14 pm

When I turned on the TV last night, I wanted to stand up and cheer. While watching President Obama’s State of the Union address, I felt much like I did when I watched his 2008 acceptance speech at Mile High Stadium in Denver. OK, that’s not true–not hardly. Reality has not been kind to Obama’s rhetoric, after all. But when Obama got to the energy section of the speech, I found much to applaud, not unlike in 2008. . . with some obvious caveats for his praise of dirty, dangerous, failed or flat-out fictional forms of energy production.

Obama Proposes Consolidation of Federal Agencies

By: David Dayen Friday January 13, 2012 10:15 am

The President has a speech at this hour where he will call for the consolidation of several federal agencies to shrink the federal bureaucracy and save money, a return to the “age of austerity” Obama that has faded of late as the election nears and populism returns to the fore.

The Different Branches of Wingnuttia — Ambition, Distraction, Uglification, and Derision

Well over two years ago the Obama’s threw a Halloween party at the White House for children of military members and their families, that coincided with the release of Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland movie. Burton, Johnny Depp and other cast members attended, with Burton supplying props and decorations from the film. This was, of course, a very lovely, and I’m sure thrilling, thing to do for the military kids on Halloween. Unfortunately, the White House failed to capitalize on their, and the Alice people’s, graciousness in hosting the party by promoting it far and wide and now…

Obama Recess-Appointing Only in Dire Circumstances

The President is making a distinction between nominees who the various agencies can do without for a spell and nominees whose seating is crucial to the functioning of the agency.

Charles Taylor Stumps for Obama 2012, Calls It a Book Review

By: Phoenix Woman Monday January 2, 2012 7:15 pm

So in essence, what I’d just read was yet another exercise in punching hippies (particularly straw hippies) in order to try and somehow equate progressives (i.e., the people who so far have been right about pretty much everything) with Tea Party members, and with a nice steaming chunk of juicy “you hate Obama ‘cuz you’re white!” race-baiting tossed in, which is ironic as hell because some of the most biting critics of Obama are in fact African-Americans.
