Happy New Year to you all, and if you’re in the neighborhood, I’m serving black-eyed peas (with bacon seasoning), and you’re welcome.

The Gingerbread House Project

By: Kelly Canfield Sunday December 25, 2011 7:00 pm

Here’s my little story about a gift and a Christmas project.

(All the photos were taken by my partner Mr. B – and he made the project too as you’ll see.)

This December is the 2nd Anniversary that Mr. B’s folks have been living in an assisted living facility. The place is great – and we love the staff. They’re all quite nice and have been very helpful with the parents.

Late Night FDL: Wisconsin Pizza on the Farm

By: Phoenix Woman Friday August 26, 2011 8:00 pm

There’s a farm outside of Stockholm, Wisconsin — a jewel of a Mississippi River town just an hour or so from the Twin Cities — that does something I don’t think any other farm in America does.

Every Tuesday evening from March to around Thanksgiving, from 4:30 to 8:00, they turn their farm into a pizzeria, complete with brick oven.
