Dennis Shulman and Daughter Julie: Fighting For Animal Rights

By: Jane Hamsher Sunday June 15, 2008 9:00 am

Scott Garrett (NJ-05) is a symbol of the moral decay of the Bush Administration, and his barbaric voting record on animal rights is almost unique in the northeast, a reflection of his own savage views. Fortunately, we have the antidote with us here today — Dennis Shulman, who wrote his postdoctoral psychoanalytic dissertation on the relationship between two of his blind patients and their guide dogs.

Please join him and his daughter Julie here with us in the comments.

You can donate to Dennis’s campaign here.

Whatever flavor of candidate we prefer, we’re in the global ice cream parlor together. And we’re really bad guests – we’re killing the place. We know better, but we keep smashing the place up cause PR voices on the shiny screens tell us that’s fun and popular. After all, that’s what the Powerful People do, right?

Good Eco-News: When We Care, We Can Win

By: Kirk Murphy Saturday January 12, 2008 6:10 pm

What do a portly French farmer, some of the fattest families you’ve ever seen, a bunch of hippies, and a crew flying a pirate flag have in common?

They’ve all had really good eco-news.

The first good news is that Jose has resumed eating solid food.

After he made Power do what he told them to do.

Fortunately, Jose is not in his terrible twos.

Someone Get Huck a Map

By: Jane Hamsher Friday December 28, 2007 4:00 pm

Mutts Against Mitt

Okay let’s just get this out of the way up front. Nobody has peed on more bushes, sniffed more dog butt or chased more squirrels than me hollering “screw Michael Vick.” I don’t get the guy. Who gets off watching dogs tear each other apart, and then hangs them if they underperform?
