Oh those liberals at The Heritage Foundation! It turns out McCain is only exaggerating by roughly 1000%.

Today McCain released his medical records to a handpicked group of reporters who had a whole three hours to look through them. Well, it turns out that he had a cancer surgery in February and neglected to tell anyone …

I am guessing that it probably would have been prudent to “reject” this endorsement much earlier– or perhaps not actively seek it in the first place. … When McCain starts limiting access to “his base,” you know he’s in trouble. But, in his defense, it isn’t just Hagee, it is the lobbyists on staff that have represented foreign agents who make Idi Amin look like Mother Teresa.

As you know by now if you own a tv or a computer, John McCain has finally rejected the endorsement he once sought from John Hagee. The Catholic-bashing, gay-hating, Islamophobia didn’t do it. But once you’re a fan of Hitler’s work as a “hunter,” well, that’s a hard one to come back from. So now there is only the rejection of the Revs. Parsley, Land, Mahoney, etc., to go.

Senator McCain taped a segment on Ellen’s show to air today, perhaps to show he’s hip with the gays. Or the under-112 set. But I digress. What McCain had to say was interesting in many ways–including his lack of honesty on his position regarding domestic partnerships. He told Ellen he opposed gay marriage–or her “position” on that issue, a strange way to put it when it is not a “position” to her, but an issue that affects her everyday life as she intends to marry her partner now that the California Supreme Court has asserted the legality of the practice.

I wonder what it was, the “Hitler was carrying out God’s Will” sermon or the “Catholicism is the Great Whore” bit. I vote for the former.

Scheunemann is the guy credited with selling McCain on neo-conservatism and “rogue-state rollback” of the Iraq-failure kind. Elect McCain, and we get the man behind Rumsfeld and many, many bad neo-conservative ideas. Of course, he was not too much of a “hawk” to lobby McCain from inside his campaign for his client, the country of Georgia.

6:50 PM: Terry McAuliffe goes on Fox from Louisville, KY at 5:14 PM to tell viewers that “Hillary Clinton wins Florida, Obama doesn’t win it today.” Ditto Ohio. I guess Bill Clinton came in third in ’92 behind Ross Perot and George Bush Sr., because that is where he was in many of the polls at this time back then. Oh right, he won.

The New York Times is reporting that Rick Davis has pioneered a new effort to lobby for foreign governments and corporations without registering to do so–including a mobbed up Russian banned from entering this country (so he raised money for McCain in London, how tricky!) and the former premier of Ukraine–who McCain just happened to oppose during elections over there …
