About Me:
I used to be a practicing heterosexual but now it appears that I am just a consultant. Avid reader since teaching myself how to read at age 4. Navy brat and first born so I'm always thinking of the consequences. Double Irish so I usually got caught. Turned my misspent youth around and became that scary thing in your rear view mirror. Retired now and doing nothing, magnificently I might add. Enjoying the eye candy outside my windows overlooking Netarts Bay along the north coast of Oregon. My dog, Token, is the cutest dog in the world. He is 3 years old, weighs in at 9 lbs, and thinks he is a big dog. This picture was taken the day I got him - he was 8 weeks old and weighed only 2lbs 4oz.

Paul Terry and TerryToons present Phoney Baloney in The Tall Tale Teller.  Story by Tom Morrison.  Directed by Eddie Donnelly.  Music by Philip A. Scheib.

Why does the title and name of the main character in this toon remind me of John Sidney McCain III and Sarah Louise Heath Palin?

From Slate's Geezers Need Excitement: What Happens When Old People Go Online:

How to spot a middle-aged Internet addict: They know who firedoglake is.

Please consider this to be an invitation to all the geezers to de-lurk and say "hi".  We have ample walker parking, large type fonts on all monitors, and recharging stations for our hearing aid batteries are located at each power station, next to the brain bleach (we do get kinda bawdy here at Late Late Nite).

The Zimmers - Welcome To My Generation (h/t Eureka Springs for the video).

Many of you know me from Late Late Nite. What some of you may not know is that I am a lifelong Republican who served 24 years in law enforcement for a city police department on the West Coast. I've worked patrol and detectives and loved it all.
