This is how out of the loop I am.  I heard this song on the radio the other day and loved it and called my brother, "You've got to hear this song by a band called The Gorillas!"

My (très hip and on-top-of-things) brother said, "TRex, that song is, like, two years old.  And it's Gorillaz.  No 'The' and a 'z' at the end."

Oh. 

"Well, I like it," I said, "The deep-voiced rapper is the best part, the second one that comes in.  I think the lead singer has a nice voice, too.  He sounds like the guy from Blur." 

"It is the guy from Blur."

"I'm sorry, could you be a little more of an insufferable know-it-all about this?  Do you want to tell me what studio it was recorded in and what edition of the ProTools they used?  Who did the catering?"

That was when he hung up on me.
