Roy Blunt on the Birthers: Unedited
Yesterday, Mike Stark released his "Birthers on the Hill, Part II" video. Blunt’s office responded by demanding the release of the entire unedited video. We are happy to comply with the request.
Mike talked with Blunt on two days. The first day, Monday, July 27, Blunt says that he believes Obama was born in the United States:
Mike then spoke to Blunt again on Tuesday, July 28:
When demanding the release of Mike’s unedited video to Greg Sargent, Blunt spokesman Rich Chismer said it had been "selectively edited," but didn’t know what had been edited out. He also refused to say that Blunt believed that Obama was a legitimate president.
This constitutes all the footage that Stark and cameraman Brett Vaughn took of Blunt. Although Blunt says he thinks that Obama was born in the United States, he still actively feeds the "birther" fire by asking "why the President can’t produce a birth certificate. I don’t know anybody else that can’t produce one. And I think that’s a legitimate question. No health records, no birth certificate."
